The three-year Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Business emphasizes international business, addressing global challenges through a mix of theory, practice, and work experience. Lectures are interactive, encouraging students to share ideas and opinions while focusing on developing personal skills like public speaking and debating. The culturally diverse student body enriches the learning environment with varied perspectives.

All three years are focused on international business, covering global marketing, international finance, cross-cultural management, and international trade. This approach ensures students understand the complexities of global business.

On completion of the third year, students have an opportunity to gain practical experience through an eight-week internship at a multinational firm. This hands-on experience allows them to apply classroom knowledge, understand international business operations, and build professional networks. Students are graded on successfully securing their own internship. A research project is offered as an alternative for those not wishing to complete an internship.

This program has Irish accreditation from Quality Qualifications Ireland (QQI) and is placed at Level 8 on the Irish National Qualifications Framework.

American College Dublin students have a wide range of opportunities open to them when they complete their degree. Academically they can take an additional year of ten elective modules to attain a diploma for the four-year Bachelor of Arts in International Business degree under the institution’s Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) accreditation from the United States.

Graduates can enter the college’s Master of Business in International Business and the MBA in International Business or enter master’s or professional studies in other institutions. Alternatively, if graduates wish to pursue a professional accountancy qualification, they will receive four exemptions from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
