The Rooney library was established in 1993 with the help of a generous donation from Patrick A. Rooney. Situated in an elegant ensemble of Georgian rooms overlooking Merrion Square, The Rooney Library provides a comprehensive range of books, periodicals and newspapers relevant to courses offered at American College Dublin. A significant electronic database provides access to a range of additional journals and periodicals germane to the College’s academic disciplines. The institution is a subscriber to the British Library Document Supply Centre which further enhances the range of materials available.

The Rooney Library is open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday, with extended hours during term-time.
